We are talking SRAM though so you never know ) On the other other hand, maybe electronic derailleur failure is an imaginary bogeyman that I made up because I'm stuck in the past. on the other hand, I'd have a much easier time dealing with a mechanical issue than an electronic issue way out in the middle of the woods. Is electronic shifting (AXS) a good idea for an "adventure" bike? On a bike that splits in half, it'd be nice to have less things to have to split in half.Do I reeeeally need hydraulic brakes? Would HY/RD calipers with compressionless housing be that much worse? I'm a stodgy rim brake guy usually so the disc world is a bit murky to me.If you remove the rear caliper for travel, approximately how annoying do you find it to get it properly realigned when you reach your destination? I've never had disc brakes on a bike with thru-axles before though, so maybe it's not as bad as I'm imagining.To anyone running hydraulic brakes, how do you find travelling with them?
